Tim Clevely

Having gained an HND in architectural stained-glass, I secured a position with Alex Beleschenko in Swansea. I worked with him on two major projects before moving on to Glantawe Studios in Morriston under the tutelage of Tim Lewis and Colwyn Morris who ran the internationally
renowned stained-glass course at Swansea College of Art.

In complete contrast to the innovative contemporary nature of the work at Alex’s, here I gained an excellent grounding in traditional painted and leaded stained-glass. After stints at Chapel Studios and Norgrove Studios I decided to set up my own studio in 2001. I now undertake restoration projects and private commissions both domestic and ecclesiastical. I also provide a site work service for several well-established studios, so would be happy to assist with any removal or installation issues you may be experiencing.

So if you are looking to brighten up an area of your home or have some leaded windows that are in need of some attention then please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.

Testimonials

A name you can trust…but don’t just take my word for it!

“I can honestly say that until I met Tim I had failed to recognise or even appreciate the skill required to refurbish leaded windows. Tim has fastidiously refurbished windows at my 17th Century Grade 2 cottage to an impeccable standard. The skill and care to enhance and maintain the existing lead work was indeed craftsman like.
Tim is quite a modest character and perhaps purposely so as his workmanship cries volumes. I would have no hesitation to recommend Tim Clevely and would take pride in extending invitation to those who wish to view the finished product.”

Tim did a very efficient job when we needed some stained glass and plain glass windows repaired in our church. He is very approachable, gave us a reasonable quote in a very short time and once engaged, quickly got on with the job. We would recommend him for this type of work.

Tim has so much valuable experience in fixing and fitting leaded glass. I would always trust his skill and complete professionalism.
